Founded in 2006, West Side Flag Football provides boys and girls in Kindergarten through 3rd grade an opportunity to learn and play the game of flag football. Over the past 19 years there has been over 2,500 boys and girls learn basic football skills in our league.
Utilizing a team-based, volunteer coaching staff comprised of parents, family, and friends of West Lafayette, we hope to make a positive impact on the lives of young children.
Join us for this activity for K–3 (2024 Fall grade levels) that emphasizes introductory football skills and team dynamics. Team selection and game schedule will be determined by the amount of players & coaches that we have signed up. There will be a K-1 league and a 2-3 league (some 1st or 2nd graders might be asked to move up or down to balance the leagues). We always need coaches to sign up, especially from the county schools!

We are always in need of coaches for our league. You do not need to have prior coaching experience and you don’t have to be a former football player. We are looking for positive leaders to work with the kids and teach them the basics of football. The league will help provide you with the necessary tools to accomplish these goals. We prefer that each team have three coaches and no more. We do our best to pair coaches up together by grade level and school affiliation. Please note that sometimes we have to make changes to coaching preferences and assignments based on the need of our league. Your son will be on your team and we are flexible in allowing you to select a few other players of your choice to get your team started.

Game Day Information: All practices and games will be played each Thursday from August 22 to October 3 at the West Lafayette High School Football Complex at the corner of Salisbury and Cumberland Ave. PLEASE NOTE: We skip Thursday, September 21.
